Poetry in Forgotten Places
Last Saturdays in April, June, August & October, 1pm
Meet at the overlook, near the parking lot at S. 12th St.
Saturday, April 29, 1pm
We’re re-vamping the old “Poetry in Abandoned Spots & Forgotten Spaces” this year to a newer, hipper, more streamlined version of itself. The idea, though, is the same: small group events in inspiring, iconic locations get to know each other and the city a little more intimately.
Our 2017 PFP season starts at the Pipeline, a Richmond river gem & poet fave. Rain location is the nearby Casa Del Barco, 320 S. 12th St., RVA 23219. RSVP is requested. Please check out full details and future locations on our Facebook page!
Monday night small group critique and workshop series continues!
Join us Every 3rd Monday in Rocketts Landing for a 2-hour, completely free poetry workshop, September though May. Other Monday nights of the month are given to hour-and-a-half critique groups at the Urban Farmhouse in Shockoe Slip, year-round. Confused? See the page headed Monday night words: workshops and critique for monthly schedule and details. All levels of writing experience welcome!
Directed by Billy Christopher Maupin. Staged workshop reading April 17, 7:30pm.
