Poetry in Forgotten Places
Last Saturdays in April, June, August & October, 1pm
Meet in the parking area at 1941 Texas Ave., RVA 23220
June 24, 1pm
We’re re-vamping the old “Poetry in Abandoned Spots & Forgotten Spaces” this year to a newer, hipper, more streamlined version of itself. The idea, though, is the same: small group events in inspiring, iconic locations get to know each other and the city a little more intimately.
Our 2017 PFP season continues at Texas Beach, aka the North Bank Trail. Swimming attire optional! Rain location is the Carytown hangout 10 Café, 3200 W. Cary St., RVA 23221. RSVP is requested. Please check out full details and future locations on our Facebook page!
Join us Every 3rd Monday in Rocketts Landing for a 2-hour, completely free poetry workshop, September though May. Other Monday nights of the month are given to hour-and-a-half critique groups at the Urban Farmhouse in Shockoe Slip, year-round. Confused? See the page headed workshops and critique for monthly schedule and details. All levels of writing experience welcome!
